Yesterday was my last day of employment at the New York State Division of Criminal Justice Services (DCJS), concluding over 33 years of public service. When friends and colleagues have approached retirement, I often asked what they planned to do on their first day post-employment. Responses to this question have included simply not waking up to an alarm clock, to taking a trip, or pursuing a passion. However, I’m not looking at today as the first day of my retirement, but rather Day 1 of what comes next.
I’m excited to share that I’ve launched Evolve Justice. LLC to provide expert consulting services to agencies, organizations and businesses to further our shared goal of improving outcomes for justice involved individuals, families, and communities. I look forward to providing training, technical assistance, policy guidance, and more to client organizations across the country.
I’ll be offering a unique perspective developed through 15+ years as a practitioner at the Albany County Probation Department, and 18+ years in the NYS DCJS Office of Probation and Correctional Alternatives (OPCA), which regulates and oversees probation and community corrections across the state. While Evolve Justice will begin as a one-person operation, I look forward to bringing in additional expert consultants to serve the needs of client organizations as they are identified.
In addition to the services already mentioned, I am also available to support business clients with strategy, market engagement, and business development.
